Alleyn’s is a thriving, co-educational, HMC independent day school in Dulwich, South East London with a separate IAPS Junior School on the same 30-acre site. The School has just over 1,000 pupils, including a large and dynamic Sixth Form, the majority of whom go on to first-class universities in the UK and overseas.
We are looking to appoint an excellent, committed, dynamic and well-qualified Teacher of Physics to start ideally in January 2018, but if this is not possible then a start later in the 17/18 academic year, or even the Advent term 2018 would be considered. The ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate excellence in the classroom, contribute fully to the co-curricular programme and inspire pupils and staff alike. This post would suit either an experienced or newly qualified teacher or someone looking to join the profession.
Physics is very popular within the School with over 60 students currently studying it at A level. The successful candidate will be able to teach across the age range up to and including A Level and university entrance.
Alleyn’s has its own competitive salary scale and accommodation may be available.
If you wish to apply, then an application form is available on our website. This will need to be completed, together with the Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form, and we also require a CV and covering letter.
Alleyn’s School is an Equal Opportunities employer, and welcomes applications for all posts from appropriately qualified persons regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, religion or belief.
Alleyn’s School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 19 September 2017 and interviews will be held on Monday 25 September 2017.
