Job overview

We are looking for an exceptional Physics Teacher to teach students on the International Baccalaureate programme, and on our Pre-IB and IGCSE Middle School Programmes.

St Clare’s is the longest established IB World School in England. We remain faithful to its original mission which is to advance international education and understanding. There are over forty nationalities represented at the college, giving us a truly international feel and a rich diversity of cultural perspectives amongst the student body.  Our students achieve outstanding results in the IB Diploma with an average score of 37 points in 2019. University destinations include leading UK institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial College London, but also a wide range of highly regarded Universities in the US, Europe and Asia. 

Students are highly motivated; class sizes are small and working conditions are exceptional.

This is a permanent full-time appointment however we will consider applications for substantial part time (at least 0.75 FTE) employment.  

The successful candidate can expect to teach all three programmes. There may also be the possibility of teaching a second science or maths for a suitably qualified candidate.

Previous IB teaching experience is not essential. 

The Person

We are looking for a talented and inspiring Physics Teacher, who is passionate about teaching and bringing out the best in students. You will have a good degree in Physics or in a closely related subject.
