We are looking for a dynamic, inspirational, motivated Teacher of Politics who will make the subject exciting and will stimulate students’ enthusiasm for their studies. Experience of teaching additional Humanities subjects, such as History, RS, Philosophy or Classical Civilisation may also be beneficial.
Your focus will be on students achieving high grades in exams and on increasing the value-added scores of the department. Your teaching must be of the highest quality and exam results should reflect the high calibre of your teaching. You must have a commitment to active and innovative teaching and learning, both inside and outside the classroom, including the embedded use of IT in your teaching. You will have the passion to be part of a successful teaching environment which produces the best from its students, and which also looks to prioritise the engagement of students in their own learning. We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers.
You will join a team of 8 full-time and part-time Humanities staff working in a spacious, well-resourced building. The focus of the team is very much on collaborative working, and on supporting one another to achieve the best results.
We would advise you that posts advertised to start in September 2020 actually commence with student enrolment on 24 August 2020. Teaching staff are required to work this week but should you have an existing commitment, please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.
