We are a non denominational school situated in the town of Fraserburgh. Our catchment area contains both private and local authority housing schemes and a small area of the rural hinterland.

The school building, built in 1979, has 10 open-plan teaching areas along with a library area, quiet room, an information technology suite and a music room. A nursery extension was completed in 1996. Other facilities include a games hall and an extensive grass and tarmac playground.

We have 9 full time equivalent staff including the head teacher. Specialist teachers support the teaching of drama, physical education, information technology and art. Two teachers provide support for learning. The teaching team is supported by 2.5 classroom assistants, a school administrator, a part-time clerical assistant/receptionist, 1.5 nursery nurses, a part-time janitor, SFL auxiliaries, lunchtime auxiliaries and kitchen and cleaning staff.

We maintain close links with parents and the wider community. Community links are a valued part of school life. The choir regularly entertains at residential homes and various other venues in the local community. We also run a guitar group, newspaper club, cross country, football and badminton.

We have an active PTA and encourage involvement of parents in the life of the school. Through the Pupil Council pupils are also involved in the work of the school and its improvement.

We received a good HM Inspectors of Education report In May 2001 and an equally good follow-up report in February 2004.

Creating an Ethos of achievement is central to what we do and we work hard to establish an environment in which all our pupils, staff and members of our community are able to fulfil their potential and expectations.

The current roll is 211 + 32 nursery children
