The Egypt British International School (EBIS) is a through school (3-18) of approximately 1,300 students. We also have a KS 4 section of approximately 1,200 students. The International Schools Campus ‘ISC’ first opened its doors in September 2006. The unique and global style of the school has proven popular and attractive to a wide variety of families in the area. Today, our enrolment comprises approximately 4000 students in the two schools on site.


EBIS aims to provide a broad, balanced and tailored British Education for students from Nursery to Yr.12, delivered by a combination of qualified and experienced teachers.


The English National Curriculum is followed with an international perspective appropriate to our students` culture and heritage. The diversity of the student body is not only respected but cherished and celebrated.


We are looking to appoint enthusiastic Primary teachers who wish to play an important part of the future development of this exciting and dynamic British International School which gained BSO accreditation in November 2018.


Over the last five years New Cairo has rapidly developed into a vibrant modern city approximately 40km from Downtown Cairo. It contains all of the modern amenities you would expect from modern day 'new cities' and their related developments. Most of the private housing is located in gated compounds, road networks are excellent, and the area has become a focus for International Schools, The American University in Cairo (AUC), Cairo Airport, new hospitals shopping malls and administrative centres for many international corporations and brands.


The EBIS School Senior Leadership team is already in place a are looking to appoint hardworking and creative teachers with outstanding subject knowledge, well rounded classroom skills and a genuine passion for education. It is expected that teachers have an excellent understanding of the National Curriculum and are up to date with current developments. 


EBIS will welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers and experienced teachers alike. There is a comprehensive new teacher induction programme and full support will be provided to all new staff. Successful applicants will be fully supported in their relocation to enable them to start along with pupils at the beginning of September.

3. The details of two referees must be included in the application form.

4. A supporting letter of application, which should include your main qualities and qualifications, your reasons for applying and details of your experience.

Our school

Founded in 2019; a growing population of students enjoy the graceful, sophisticated and distinguished school premises which house The Royal British International school in the New Cairo district. We are gradually growing to fill our exceptional facilities which include our 300 seat Theatre, IT suites, an indoor, heated swimming pool, Dance, Drama and Art studios, Music Room, Squash courts, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, Science labs, Indoor and outdoor EYFS learning areas with connecting patio doors, multi-purpose halls, bespoke furnished classrooms and libraries. Our curriculum

At The Royal School we offer an enriched, tailored delivery of the English National Curriculum. Our Early Years department provides a solid foundation with a child-centred approach to develop each individual child’s passion for learning. Our bespoke Early Years area provides a safe and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment. The best of current British teaching practices, taught by qualified and experienced professionals, supports learning and progress across the Primary department with specialists delivering MFL, PE, Dance, Art, IT and Global Perspectives.  Arabic Language, Religion and Social Studies are provided and follow ministry requirements. In our Secondary section students continue to follow our British curriculum leading to Cambridge and Edexcel Examination Boards IGCSE and A level. 


Our Unique Academy Pathways

A point of distinction at The Royal School is the student enrichment focus of Academy Pathways which students opt into from Year Three onwards. With our current options of Squash, Golf, Swimming, Music (choice of instruments or vocal), Dance or Art, the Royal School students may enjoy a weekly 2-hour focus on a pathway during the school day which enables them to excel in an area for which they have a passion.
