Job overview

This is an opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Psychology and/or Sociology to play a key role in the growth of our Psychology and Sociology department.

Psychology and Sociology are both popular subjects, taught solely at A Level.  Sociology was introduced as a new subject in September 2020 and the focus is on building the subject’s recognition across the school, whereas Psychology is already a well-established discipline at Croydon High.

You will be expected to contribute to the continued raising of results by focusing on high quality teaching and learning, assessment and self-evaluation and have the capacity to support students to enjoy and achieve at A Level.

The ability to teach both Psychology and Sociology would be advantageous and we are willing to consider a full-time appointment for applicants who can teach a second subject.

In return, we offer a highly supportive environment where the sharing of good practice is valued, and we look forward to hearing how you will be able to contribute to the department.
