South Hampstead High School is seeking to appoint a committed and energetic Teacher of Psychology, with a strong record, to join a lively Psychology department for a maternity cover.
You will teach A-level Psychology (AQA Specification) to Sixth Form students in both Year 12 and Year 13, planning and preparing courses and lessons according to their educational needs and assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of the pupils.
The members of the Psychology Department regularly discuss and employ a variety of teaching methods in order to meet the aim of encouraging the girls to feel engaged, challenged and supported in their studies. Students achieve very good results in Psychology. Last year 36% of students attained A* grades, 81% A*-A and 100% A*-B and we also usually have around 45% of our students going on to study Psychology further each year.
