Job overview

Peter Symonds is a vibrant sixth form college in Winchester which has been rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in every respect. We have a large team of committed and talented staff who are at the heart of the success of the College.

Psychology is a thriving department, with over 900 students studying the subject at A level, following the AQA specification. We have twelve teaching staff in the team and students are taught by two teachers, each covering different topics. Achievement levels are high, with a significant number of students progressing to read Psychology at HE every year.

This is a permanent post and the successful applicant will have a degree in Psychology or a closely allied subject, with an enthusiasm for their subject and the ability to share that with our students. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers. It is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain experience in an unusually large and successful team. Part-time hours will be circa three and a half days a week.

Please indicate on your application whether you would like to be considered for full-time or part-time.
