Brighton Hove and Sussex Sixth Form CollegeBrighton and Hove

We are one of the top-performing colleges in the country, situated in the cosmopolitan seaside city of Brighton & Hove. Working here offers the combination of both a wonderful place to work and a great city in which to live. Our students and staff are colourful, aspirational and hard-working – which is perhaps why 96% of employees would “recommend BHASVIC as a good place to work” and many of our students go on to Higher Education.

We are seeking to appoint a full-time Teacher of Psychology to join this well-established and popular department. Part time applications will also be considered. As a successful and thriving Sixth Form College with around 3,000 students and 320 staff, we are seeking to appoint someone who can bring flexibility, commitment and energy to this important job. In return, you will join a vibrant college community with an informal working environment. The College is an open and friendly place to work, with staff that are very supportive of each other, and a range of benefits offered to ensure health and wellbeing.

We welcome applications from teachers with ideas, enthusiasm and strong teaching ability, who can work within the diverse demands of the department whilst maintaining its recognised strengths and attributes.

We have extremely high standards for all our students and aim to develop their knowledge, skills and experience in a stimulating and varied learning environment.  We look to exploit diverse strategies of teaching, learning, motivation and tracking so that all students are able to access the understanding and knowledge needed to prepare them effectively for examination and beyond.
