The Northworthy Trust are inviting applications for the post of Teacher of RE and English at Merrill Academy in Derby.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious team, who are committed to improving attainment levels across the Academy through their passion for teaching and learning.  Ideally, the post holder will be a RE specialist with the ability to also teach English for approximately 40% of their teaching timetable.  There is also the opportunity for further career development, with the post holder being able to apply for a range of TLR points within the Faculty, Pastoral Support and extracurricular provision, from September 2020.

The successful applicant will be professional, adaptable and dedicated to delivering high quality teaching.  They will have strong communication skills and will be able to work well within a team, yet be able to demonstrate an ability to utilise their own initiative.  They will be motivated and resilient and be able to demonstrate the skills required to effectively manage behavior and engage students in their learning.
