Are you a Newly Qualified Teacher looking to take up your first teaching post or are you an experienced RE Teacher looking for a new challenge in a new school? The Governors of this school are looking to appoint an exceptional teacher of RE who has the ability to achieve excellent results. They are looking for a dynamic, inspiring and forward thinking strategic teacher who is passionate about RE and can motivate students to strive for excellence and could be instrumental in making a difference to our student’s education.

Our school is a successful 11-16 High School with 900 pupils on roll situated in Didsbury (often voted as one of the most popular places to live in Manchester) and have in recent years benefited from £11.2 million Building Schools for the Future investment.  

You will be joining a team of dedicated and enthusiastic teaching staff and will be required to teach across the full ability range at both Key Stage 3 and 4 in a well-resourced Faculty, whose aim is to ensure pupils enjoy and achieve in Religious Education whilst fully engaging with the religious and cultural ethos of the school. 

 You should: 

• Have a proven track record of success in the classroom at all key stages; 

• Have a “Good” or better record from observations in the classroom; 

• Have the adaptability to hit the ground running; 

• Possess the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate pupils along with the ability to manage their behaviour; 

• Play an active role within the school and the wider community; 

 • Be pro-active with the ability to act on your own initiative; 

• Possess a proven track record in achieving excellent pupil outcomes.
