Do you want to join and support the dedicated and passionate Humanities department?
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Religious Education teacher keen to develop their career at Broadway Academy. We are looking for someone who wants to grow in a supportive and dynamic environment. If you want to play a role in the ongoing development and growth RE within the Humanities department then this is your opportunity. You will bring energy, positivity and support to the vision of the Humanities department that every child deserves an excellent education.
Broadway Academy is a high performing academy in North Birmingham and RE results were outstanding last year. The academy benefits from state of the art facilities throughout, having moved into our new building in 2011.
You will be joining a supportive and dedicated Humanities team who passionately believe that every child should “enjoy and achieve” in school. The department consists of Citizenship, Geography, History and RE at key stages 3 and 4, and Criminology, Law, Psychology, Sociology and RE in the sixth form. As well as striving for academic excellence in school, the department runs a wide range of co-curricular trips to enhance understanding of individual subjects, as well as to improve pupils’ life experiences.
Join us and grow
You will benefit from working within a school which encourages staff and students to be aspirational. Staff development is a priority and staff are empowered to continue their own learning. Alongside external training opportunities, the academy has developed an accelerated leadership programme linked to NPQML and NPQSL and offers a range of induction and CPD programmes.
We believe in the potential of every student and we are on an exciting journey to “World Class”. If you are keen to work in a successful and growing academy which encourages staff to aim high in their own careers, this could be a great opportunity for you.
