We are currently seeking to appoint a teacher of Religious Studies who has excellent subject knowledge, new ideas, enthusiasm and a desire to become an outstanding practitioner. The successful applicant will join an enthusiastic and committed team of Humanities teachers who provide a stimulating and challenging curriculum for all learners within this specialist Performing and Visual Arts School.
Religious Studies is a popular option at both KS4 and KS5. The post holder will have the ability to teach Religious Studies at KS3, KS4 and KS5 and demonstrate a flexibility to teach a small amount of either Geography, History or Citizenship at KS3. It is a good school with outstanding Leadership. Central to all of our work is the determination to ensure that all pupils, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, succeed academically (OFSTED Dec 2017). It is a fantastic place to work and learn, especially as a newly qualified teacher. We are committed to developing teachers who are passionate about their subject and determined to convey this enthusiasm to their students. Opportunities for internal promotion are maximised and encouraged.
For further details and an application form, please contact Sally Parsons, the Headteacher’s PA on firstname.lastname@example.org. Informal discussions with the Head of Humanities and Head of RS Stephen Issaka or visits to the school prior to the application are welcome.
Closing date for applications: 12 Noon on Tuesday 19th March 2018
