King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking a dynamic, well-qualified teacher with a high level of subject knowledge and a real passion for their subject. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a strong team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life. The post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for a Newly Qualified Teacher. 

Religious Studies is highly successful at our school from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving Sixth Form. All students take a full GCSE course in Religious Studies and we have two A-level groups in both Years 12 & 13. The school is likely to expand over the coming years so this is an opportunity to join us as part of a growing curriculum area, but in the coming year we are looking for a candidate who is also willing and able to teach Drama at Key Stage 3. 

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm and excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. The appointed teacher will be expected to teach across the age and ability range over time, including GCSE and A-level courses. 

King Edward VI School is a popular 11-18 comprehensive school rated Good by OfSTED in 2017. The school is well regarded within the community and has a reputation for high-quality teaching. Lichfield is a small, vibrant cathedral city which is easily accessible from the surrounding areas.
