TEACHER OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES – MPR

Moulsham High School is a high performing comprehensive school that was ranked fifth in Essex in the 2019 performance tables. ‘Behaviour is calm and the atmosphere is productive and positive, making it a nice place to be’ (Ofsted 2020). Leaders have a genuine commitment to the well-being and development of all staff.
We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner, with a commitment to continuing professional development, to join our successful Philosophy, Religion and Ethics/Citizenship Faculty. The post is suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher. The successful candidate will teach Religious Studies up to and including G.C.S.E. A level teaching may be available. A small amount of Citizenship teaching will also be required.
The faculty believes in high achievement for all. 2019’s results saw 56.67% grades 9-7, 83.33 % grades 9-5 and 96.67% grades 9-4. The faculty is very well organised and resourced. Staff work very closely as a team, share a passion for teaching and learning and are highly- supportive of each other.
NQTs have a reduced timetable and a subject mentor and enjoy a thorough induction programme, led by an Assistant Headteacher.
