Religious Studies is highly valued in the school. All students study R.S. up to the end of Key Stage 4 and take a full course GCSE. Students are taught by a team of specialist teachers and increasing numbers opt to take the subject at A Level. Religious Studies achieved record results in the 2017 exam session; with results at GCSE and A Level above the national average. In 2017 at GCSE 80% of students gained A*-C. At A Level 43% of students gained an A*-B.
The Humanities Faculty benefits from the sharing of expertise, resources and staff across the different subjects to create new opportunities for learners at all Key Stages; much collaboration takes place. We are very proud of the successful outcomes within our Faculty and across the whole school.
