Amersham School is a student centred school. We require a teacher of Science (a specialism in Physics would be desirable) who will contribute positively to our outstanding Science department, share in the school’s vision for success and play their part as we continue to secure outstanding results for our students. We require a teacher with passion, skill, commitment and enthusiasm for the vocation of teaching. Candidates will need to be, or aspire to be, outstanding practitioners. A position of responsibility, with allowance, may be offered to an appropriately experienced practitioner who has a proven record of being an outstanding teacher.
In return we will be committed to your personal development. We can offer you a supportive and innovative environment to work within and opportunities for Professional Development which will allow you to further enhance your skillful practice. The successful candidate will have free access to our fitness suite, onsite parking and will have the opportunity to take part in a host of social activities. We have a School Café which provides reasonably priced hot meals and snacks.
Applications are welcome from newly qualified teachers (NQT’s) or more experienced teachers looking for progression. A specialism in Physics would be beneficial. However, we can cater for General Science practitioners, or Chemistry, Biology and Physics specialists who can offer A Level teaching.
