Required from September 2021, an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated teacher to teach Science and Design Technology from Year 1 to Year 6. We are looking to appoint a well-qualified graduate with QTS.
Science and Design Technology are both highly valued areas of the curriculum at Crescent. Year 1 to Year 3 have two lessons a week allocated and Year 3 to Year 6 have three a week. These lessons are used at the discretion of the teacher to deliver both subjects, with additional time weighting (2:1) given to science.
This is a part time role that will involve working around 0.75 of a full timetable. Although there is some flexibility in the timing of this, this will most likely involve working in school on three and a half days out of five.
An enthusiasm to become involved with the extracurricular life of the school is essential. Candidates should be able to demonstrate outstanding teaching skills in the classroom and be effective team players.
