We are seeking a motivated, passionate and committed teacher of Science to join us from September 2018.
The successful applicant ideally would be able to teach all three Science disciplines at Key Stage 3 and GCSE and at least one, either Biology, Chemistry or Physics, to A level.
We are looking for someone with an ability to stimulate the curiosity and interest in the Sciences and who is prepared to give full commitment to the aims and ethos of the Science Department and BCS. We need energy, ability, positivity and a willingness to go beyond expectation.
Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to be an effective team member, they will show how they have or will contribute strategies and resources to support this growing department and will show a thorough commitment to pupil learning.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and learning, with the vision, commitment and determination to continue raising standards across all abilities and further contribute to the progress of our pupils.
BCS is a rapidly growing co-educational independent school situated on the South coast. The School has extensive facilities set in an attractive 5 acre campus.
The Science Department has good facilities; there are five spacious and well-equipped laboratories and two preparation rooms.
We have a vibrant afterschool club environment where pupils can take part in junior Science and marine biology clubs, STEM activities and Go4set projects, all to enhance and enrich the science curriculum our pupils follow. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to these initiatives.
