Main pay scale - Upper Pay Scale, plus TLR 2.2 (£4,442)
The Governors of Blessed Trinity RC College wish to appoint two enthusiastic, full time Science Teachers. This is an exhilarating time to join Blessed Trinity RC College and work within a vibrant and energised department.
The Successful candidates will have the motivation and drive to enthuse our pupils to ensure they are able to achieve their full potential. KS4 results are the primary focus for the department at present. However, many strategies are now in place to improve performance at KS3 and this is a very exciting time to become involved in developments. There is a real vision for one of the post holders to develop the achievement levels of our most able (Triple Science) pupils. The other post holder will develop Key Stage 4 Combined Sciences.
The successful candidates will have a real passion for communicating the joy and wonder of science to our pupils. As a result of the Science Team’s drive and passion, our pupils are enjoying, thriving and developing a real passion for Science here at Blessed Trinity. The Science Team work hard to ensure they are able to deliver extra curriculum activities, such as KS3 science club, Crest Club and many extra-curricular trips such as Blackpool Zoo and Extreme Physics to enhance learning in Science.
The Science Department occupies a suite of 7 laboratories dedicated to the teaching of Science in a new purpose built college. In addition, the department has access to an ICT suite. Students enjoy Science at Blessed Trinity. We run a KS3 science club, Crest Club and many extra-curricular trips such as Blackpool Zoo and Extreme Physics to enhance learning in Science.
