Job overview

Both the Science and the ICT & Computing departments in the school are well-established and offer a good range of courses. The large science department, offers a complete range of sciences at all levels including GCSE Astronomy. Both departments have huge potential with many outstanding teachers. There are 16 science labs which are well served by a team of 5 Science Technicians. Computer facilities are good and improving and the school operates a BYOD policy.

ICT & Computing, along with Science sits in the 'Directorate of Enterprise and Enquiry' with Maths and Business.

This is an exciting time to join Hinchingbrooke School. The school has a dynamic and supportive Senior Leadership Team with the vision and drive to take the school to Outstanding. All subjects belong to one of three Directorates, each of which is led by a Director of Learning (Vice Principal) who works with the Subject Leaders and staff. The roles will suit enthusiastic and aspirational teachers and we seek to appoint those with good and outstanding practice who wish to share their expertise and make a difference. The school offers a bespoke CPD programme, research and development, links and networks with other outstanding schools as well as a plethora of extra-curricular and cross-curricular working opportunities.

It is a larger than average comprehensive (11-18) school with academy status and has a number of unique features.
