Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a teacher of Science to contribute to the ongoing development of the faculty. A commitment to promoting the highest possible academic success and all-round development of our students is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, talented and well-motivated teacher to join our large, innovative and supportive Science faculty.

We are also keen to speak to experienced practitioners in Science. Being part of a Multi Academy Trust with schools in such close proximity means that there is potential for this post to come with additional trust responsibilities and/or the opportunity to teach A level. We would welcome conversations regarding these opportunities prior to receiving your application.

The successful candidate will have an affinity with young people and be outward thinking in their approach to teaching and learning with the enthusiasm to develop these popular subjects and a vision to continue the excellent work already undertaken. You must have very good subject knowledge and be committed to raising the achievement and aspirations of all students.

You will:

• Be an outstanding classroom practitioner; committed to achieving and sustaining high standards of Learning and Teaching.

• Have an enthusiastic and inspirational approach to the delivery of Science across the full 11-16 age range.

• Have positive classroom management skills, high expectations and a commitment to the best possible outcomes for all pupils.

• Be highly motivated and self-driven with the ability to work with other high achieving professionals.

• Be active and involved in the extra-curricular life of the faculty.

This post offers an excellent opportunity for you to gain experience in teaching across all ages and abilities.

If you would like an informal discussion about the post, please contact Mr McDaid, Executive Principal, on office@sws.cheshire.sch.uk or 01270 660880 . For further information about the school, please visit our website https://www.sirwilliamstanier.co.uk/

**Interviews are expected to take place on Wednesday 9th February 2022**

As an equal opportunities employer The Learning Alliance is committed to creating a diverse workforce and welcomes applications from members of minority groups. As part of the Academy Trust’s policy to safeguard children an enhanced DBS will be applied for.

We will only contact candidates that have been short-listed for interview. If you do not receive a communication from Mr McDaid or our HR team within 10 working days of the closing date you can safely assume that you have not been invited to interview.
