The Governors are inviting applications from experienced or newly qualified teachers of Science. At The County High School, Leftwich, there is a strong tradition of high quality induction and continuing professional development so the post can be adapted to suit an entrant new to the profession or a colleague with recent experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Science teacher who will inspire and motivate students to succeed at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. An ability to teach Physics to Key Stage 4 is desirable.
This post is suitable for an NQT, RQT or someone who is looking to take a first step into a leadership role. A strong desire to motivate students and staff to achieve excellent progress is crucial in an environment in which “Pupils display a thirst for learning” and there is “…first-rate behaviour in classrooms and around the academy” (Ofsted, 2016).
The County High School, Leftwich is in a formal partnership with Sir John Deane’s College, a local outstanding 6th Form College with a tradition of high academic performance, as part of The Sir John Brunner Foundation.
