Can you inspire young people with your passion for Science? If so, we would like to meet you! This post is an opportunity to join our very experienced, supportive and successful team to share their love of Science and Science teaching with a new colleague, to achieve excellent results for students.
We currently have 12 full and part time teaching staff. The management of the Department is led by the Head of Department with the support of two Assistant Heads of Department. We are also very fortunate to have two Lead Teachers, one with responsibility for the Required Practical’s across the department and one for A Level Chemistry/Physics. Finally, we are also very privileged to have two full time very experienced science technicians who help drive standards across the department, the support they provide is invaluable.
The governors seek to employ a well qualified and enthusiastic teacher of science, who will be responsible for planning and delivering the highest quality lessons at Stages 3, 4 and possibly at A Level. We offer the best training and support at every stage of your career. You will receive regular coaching sessions, timetabled CPD each week, as well as staff collaboration across the school.
The post is suitable for an NQT or for someone who is more experienced.
