About Richard Rose Central Academy

Our Academy is continuing on its journey of improvement, and we are delighted to have now joined the United Learning group of schools. As part of United Learning, we share a distinctive and strong ethos to bring out ‘the best in everyone’, empowering every member of the Academy community to achieve.

Our expectations for all students are very high and we are pleased to have a student community with a full range of abilities and a great staff team to support them. We make sure that we enable students to make progress at all times in their academic subjects and in many other areas of Academy life.

Our examination results are improving and we are dedicated to helping our students achieve the very best results for them, regardless of ability. We are highly committed to ensuring that all each engages in extracurricular activities which enable them to develop skills and qualities beyond the classroom.

Our sports teams, dance and music groups, support for charities, and national and international trips all generate a sense of excitement and achievement. We are really proud of our students, who are committed to hard work and positive behaviour. We believe that that these two ingredients are vital for academic success.

Since opening we have undergone great changes but, throughout, have maintained traditional values whilst still looking ahead, innovating and embracing new technology.

Our aims are very clear. They are encapsulated in three statements.

  • We aim to bring out ‘the best in everyone’ in our school community.
  • We insist on continuous progress without excuses. We shall never be complacent
  • We expect our students to become outstanding learners, outstanding role models and outstanding citizens. Our aspiration is that they eventually become outstanding 21st century adults who lead successful lives.

A positive educational experience at Richard Rose Central Academy will help all of our students to become a success in the future.
