We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative colleague to join our very strong team of science teachers.

 The successful candidate will preferably be a Biology specialist with A level experience but will certainly be an inspirational, highly motivated teacher with excellent interpersonal skills and strong personal character. You will assist in the development and delivery of a range of exciting courses.

If you are a dedicated and committed teacher of Science and feel that you have a contribution to make to this vibrant, forward looking department at this exciting time in its development, we would be delighted to receive an application from you. We welcome applications from NQTs as well as experienced teachers, wishing to work in an excellent school within a very supportive department.

Our School

The Queen Katherine School is situated on the edge of the stunning Lake District; we are an 11-18 Academy with approximately 1000 students. The school was rated Good by Ofsted in March 2022. Our results reflect the school’s incredible success: top 7% in the country for A level (grades A-B) and top 25% for Progress 8 at GCSE. We have fantastic facilities all located on one, large site providing a vibrant and healthy learning space.

Our teaching culture is based upon ‘excellence beyond compliance’. We invest heavily in high-quality CPD. We practise an annual Teaching and Learning focus for all colleagues in combination with separate departmental CPD foci led by Subject Leaders.
