Eckington School is a vibrant and rapidly improving 11-18 secondary school with 1,240 students on roll. It is set in a wonderful 42-acre site of rolling North East Derbyshire countryside, situated close to the centre of Sheffield and the Peak District National Park.

We are looking for an outstanding science teacher to join our enthusiastic and committed department. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and inspirational professional who is ready to develop their career in a friendly and supportive school. We welcome applications from either a newly qualified teacher or an experienced practitioner.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across all key stages and the whole ability range. We are looking for someone who could offer to teach Science to ‘A’ Level. You will have the chance to be involved with developing schemes of work, ensuring the curriculum is engaging, and developing enrichment opportunities for all learners.

You will be a person who thrives on challenge, enjoys working with young people and is passionate about seeing them achieve.

The person we are looking for should be:

· a creative and highly effective teacher, with an enthusiasm for enabling young people to achieve

· self-motivating, and with excellent time-management skills;

· a team player who wants to work and engage with colleagues at all levels within the school.
