Okehampton College is looking for a full time teacher of science to teach across all key stages. The ability to teach A-level Chemistry will be an advantage but not essential. The ability to teach A-level Chemistry will be an advantage but not essential. Whether you are new to teaching or more experienced, we are looking for an outstanding practitioner who can demonstrate their drive and desire for excellence in the classroom and inspire our students.  Science is a popular and high achieving subject and we have increasing numbers opting for triple science at GCSE. We also have large numbers of students studying at least one science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology and BTEC Applied Science) at AS and A2 level, with excellent exam results.

We have a comprehensive extra-curricular programme for students which includes Eco Club and TeenTech. If this sounds like the school for you then please get in touch.

This post is temporary to cover maternity leave.

This post would be suitable for either experienced teachers or NQTs looking to work within an extremely supportive and innovative team and further develop their skills.

Okehampton College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS).
