Job overview

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Teacher of Science to cover maternity leave from September 2024 at our Prep School in Eastbourne.

The successful applicant will develop, plan & deliver lessons setting high expectations which inspire and challenge pupils. They will keep in mind that they promote good progress and outcomes by pupils, ensuring the learning and development is effective, continuous and enables them to achieve the best results of which they are capable.

The science specialist will adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils, including the needs identified on the School’s formal registers (e.g. SEND, AS Tracking Welfare and Academic Progress).

The Teachers within the school are key to making this happen and to allowing pupils to find joy in their pursuit of brilliance.

We're looking for a Teacher who has excellent subject knowledge, who is willing to be a form tutor from September, ensuring regular assessments continue along with report writing to parents. They will attend and contribute to departmental and faculty meetings, initiatives and events.

This is a full time, fixed term contract covering maternity leave for approximately 6 months from September 2024.
