You will be a member of a diverse group of practitioners that collaborate often to share best practice, not only within the department, but across the wider academy environment and across our highly successful academy trust, the LAT. We aim to cater for and cultivate our teachers to ensure they feel supported and challenged going through their careers, regardless of the stage they find themselves.
Our Department has a proven track record in terms of results and the pathways that it provides for the individual child that focus on progress, attainment as well as a genuine strive to create successful global citizens aware of the need and importance of solid science knowledge. Each Key Stage is given centre stage to ensure a programme of study that encourages the best from our year 7 to our A-level students with an emphasis on skills as well as the science content.
Our ideal candidate will be able to teach across the ability range for KS3 and KS4 and have a real interest in developing teaching and learning is also important. The science subjects are an incredibly popular choice within our sixth form and teaching opportunities are available at post-16 for the right candidate.

Working at Stationers' Crown Woods Academy: The Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy joined our Trust in 2014. The campus incorporates nine buildings which include four home schools each serving 450 pupils and students, a Design, Technology and Creative and Performing Arts School, a Sport & Community Education Centre and an Inclusions Hub. Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy is delighted be part of the Leigh Academies Trust who, with the Stationers’ Company and Ravensbourne, will enable the new Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy to enhance our provision and develop a Digital Curriculum fit for the future.
