Teacher of Science (Head of Department considered)
Required an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher of Science. The possibility exists to be appointed to Head the department although this is not a requirement. The ideal candidate will be able to offer Science in the Prep and Senior School and teach up to Year 11 (GCSE). St Edmund’s is an expanding and successful school of over 400 girls and boys aged 2 to 16. The position is offered full-time although substantial part-time may be considered. St Edmund’s is thriving with numbers the highest in its 140 year history. Average class sizes are small, circa fifteen pupils. The school was inspected by ISI in January 2014 and all academic and pastoral areas were graded “Excellent”. A material change inspection by DfE in May 2015 rated the academic provision and planning for the senior years to be excellent.
