The Science Department at Royds is a very succesful department achieving excellent results. We are looking for an inspirational and energetic Science Teacher to help further develop the department and our curriculum. For exceptional candidates, we would consider appointing to a Head of Biology position.

Royds School is a secondary community school for girls and boys aged between 11 and 16. It is a non-denominational establishment, situated in the town of Oulton, in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Royds School values students who have respect for others, who are resilient and those who take responsibility for their actions. The school believes no child should be stopped from having an excellent education and everyone can have great achievement. Children should try their best to achieve outstanding results. Students are encouraged to take part in enrichment activities. These can range from several sporting clubs, including gymnastics, basketball, netball, cricket, football and rugby. In the past, pupils have competed in the Olympics.
