About the School
St Julie’s Catholic High School is a popular and oversubscribed school for girls, situated in the conservation area of Woolton Village, South Liverpool. In September 2017, we moved into our brand new £23 million school building. GCSE and Sixth Form results in 2019 demonstrated excellent progress since our last inspection with a Progress 8 score in line with national and strong KS5 results for A-level and BTEC. In April 2018 Ofsted graded St. Julie’s as Good with Outstanding features. We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science to join the department, which comprises eight fully resourced and brand new Science laboratories with excellent layout and space. Two large preparatory rooms service these large and bright labs, supported by two Technicians and a Teaching Assistant.
About the Role
You will be passionate about your subject, whilst transferring your knowledge in a creative and contextualised way in the classroom, and successfully plan and deliver consistently good lessons on a daily basis that both challenge our students and significantly advance their learning. You will be relentless in your pursuit of progress for each and every one of your students so they can achieve the outcomes they deserve, and grow into young adults that positively contribute to their community. You will instill pride in the work they do and encourage their individuality and personal qualities. Whether you are at the start of your career or an expert teacher we focus on what attributes you will bring to the school and most importantly what impact you will have on our students.
Personal Qualities

Ofsted report
“The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare is good. Pupils feel safe in school and this is endorsed by almost all parents who completed the online survey, Parent View, and by all of the staff who responded to the inspection questionnaire. Pupils value the high visibility of staff around the school and comment that the school has a calm feeling.”
