Job overview

This post is suitable for a NQT or an experienced teacher

Cox Green is a well-established co-educational Academy school, situated in the heart of the community of Cox Green Maidenhead.

Our students thrive in an environment committed to achievement, supported by our team of excellent teachers and pastoral staff. We are oversubscribed year on year, testimony to the quality of teaching and learning we provide.

We have both a successful sixth form and a Sports Academy providing students with both A Level and BTEC routes in further education.

Students enjoy a varied range of extra-curricular activities including Sport, Music, Drama, Languages and Trips and we have been graded as “good” by Ofsted.

We feel extremely proud to have been awarded funding of £4.7 million from our Borough. The work which was started in July 2017 includes new Science Laboratories, classrooms and cafeteria.

As one of the top performing schools in the area we take pride in getting the most out each of our students. Last year 80% of our GCSE students achieved grade 4 or better in English and Maths and we had an Attainment 8 grade of B-. 78% of A Level students achieved A*-C.

Maidenhead is situated in the heart of the commuter belt and benefits from excellent road and rail links. The town itself is undergoing regeneration, and the opening of Crossrail in 2019 only adds to its appeal. We also boast some of the most beautiful countryside in Berkshire with the River Thames running directly through the town.

Our Science department has seven laboratories, three of which have been refurbished to a high standard and two further laboratories have been remodeled. Two technicians provide support on a daily basis. The school is committed to providing teachers with excellent resources and clerical support and boasts a disciplined environment and excellent professional development.

Whether you are an established teacher or a NQT wishing to start your teaching career and are ambitious, have a passion for the subject and are able to deliver excellent lessons that are exciting, engaging and inclusive then we wish to hear from you.

We also take a leading role in the Teach Maidenhead programme, the region's teacher training provider.
