We are now interviewing well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring Science Teachers who will join our outstanding Faculty of Science. We seek the very best teachers who can consistently teach first-rate lessons. You should be able to enthuse and motivate our students with your passion for Science and creative teaching, presence and personality. Due to the existing expertise and flexibility within the faculty, applications would be considered from all Science specialisms or combinations of Sciences.
Science is a high achieving and dynamic faculty. Results are outstanding and students make excellent progress. Our results consistently demonstrate good progress and over the past 5 years we have performed well above National Averages. Members of the Science Faculty are totally committed to ensuring successful outcomes for our students. As well as GCSE Sciences, our Science Faculty also deliver A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology, as well as Level 3 Applied Science. The ability to teach to A-level standard would be welcomed, but is not a pre-requisite for the post.

Our school has developed exceptional International Science and Mathematics links with top schools in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, China and South Korea. Recent collaboration has involved joint research projects, International Science and Mathematics fairs and competitions, as well as many significant student/staff visits and exchanges. The successful appointees will be encouraged to participate in this amazing and unique programme.

Students keep a broad and balanced curriculum but can choose to specialise in STEM or Liberal Arts fields after Year 9.
Our VI Form offers a wide range of A-Levels and equivalent courses. We are fortunate to attract students who wish to follow an academic pathway from Camborne and other local schools. VI Form numbers are growing steadily but class sizes are still maintained at a level where individual support can be readily offered.
Results are excellent with a 100% pass rate for the sixth consecutive year across a range of 27 A-Level subjects. Furthermore, the progress made by VI Form students places them in the top 10% of the country and the top state-funded Post 16 provider in Cornwall.
