We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced teacher to teach Cambridge International IGCSE and AS and A-Level in an English Curriculum school based in Tanzania.

Location:

Mwanza is a port city on the southern shores of Lake Victoria in north-western Tanzania. With a population of over 700,000, it is Tanzania's second largest city, following Dar es Salaam. Mwanza is the capital of the surrounding Mwanza Region. Mwanza is 135 km (2 hour drive) from the Serengeti National Park. Mwanza is also just a short flight away from Dar es Salaam, Mount Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar.

Role summary:

  • To facilitate the attainment of each student's full potential and to help them to develop strong academic skills.
  • To teach the subject at IGSCE and A-Level.
  • To work effectively as part of a team and to be willing to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school of the school.


Person Specification:

  • A good honours degree and teaching certificate.
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a UK curriculum school or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching GCSE and, A-Level.
  • Fluent English speaker.
  • Physics specialists will be given priority
  • To be adaptable to the frustrations that can arise from working in a developing country.
