We are seeking to appoint a passionate and diligent Teacher of Science with an ability to deliver GCSE and A-Level to work in our Senior School from September 2024. A specialism in Physics or Chemistry would be preferred.

The successful candidate will be a passionate and dynamic teacher with a successful track record at both GCSE and A level and delivering excellent outcomes across the ability range as well as demonstrating the ability to:

  •  Support the wider Science Department
  • Build positive and productive relationships with pupils
  • Enrich the Science subject area within the School’s co-curricular, trips and visits programme 
  • Support pupils’ wellbeing
  • Contribute to pupils’ character development within and beyond the Science subject area

Newcastle School for Boys is the north east region’s only independent school providing education for boys only aged 3 to 18.

Following its formation in 2005 from founding schools Ascham House and Newlands School, Newcastle School for Boys is now one of the top independent schools in the North East. Located in the heart of Gosforth, Newcastle the School now sits as the only 3 to 18, boys-only school in the region.
