Teacher of Science Full time - Permanent
Applications are invited from well-qualified teachers of Chemistry and / or Physics with the ability to maximise potential at both Key Stages 3 and 4 following the promotion of the current post-holder. As the Faculty comprises a supportive and hard-working team, this post would suit either a newly-qualified or experienced teacher who wishes to develop his/her career in an environment in which “Pupils display a thirst for learning” and there is“…first-rate behaviour in classrooms and around the academy” (Ofsted, March 2016).
A TLR 2.1 (currently £2,664pa) is available for a candidate who can evidence leadership potential.
Summer 2017: 87% achieved 4+ in English; 83% achieved 4+ in Mathematics; 80% achieved 4+ in both English and Mathematics; 87% achieved A* - C in Science; 28% of all grades were A+ (or equivalent 7+).

The County High School Leftwich is a fully inclusive, co-educational, 11-16 school with approximately 1000 students, 60 teaching and 60 support staff. The school serves a mixed catchment area with a Published Admission Number of 196, though we are now significantly over-subscribed.
