Teacher of Science (Physics) for September 2021

A full-time teacher of science (physics) is required for September 2021 to teach Year 9 and GCSE physics, with a shared responsibility for Year 7 and 8 general science. There may also be the opportunity to teach A-level for the right candidate. This is a new role within the department and is in response to an increase in pupil numbers.

Claremont Fan Court has a strong science tradition and standards in this department are high. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate an effective teaching style, have a sound knowledge of general science and strong degree.

The role could suit an NQT for whom first class support will be given or an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge. A willingness to contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the school is essential.
