The White Hills Park Trust are seeking to appoint a dynamic and talented practitioner with strong classroom management abilities to join the outstanding Science team at Bramcote College. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about engaging our students in the awe and wonder of science and inspiring them to be inquisitive and curious about the world around them. As an outstanding Teacher of Science, you will be able to teach across all Sciences and abilities within the 11-16 age range, with the ability to teach Physics at A-level. You will be able to make a major contribution to the development of Science within our department and across the Trust. We welcome applications from ECTs and we run a highly supportive and successful Early Career Framework programme.

Bramcote College is a friendly, inclusive and multicultural place to work and study. We achieved a well-deserved Good judgement in 2017, and achievement is on a secure upward trend. Our students are well-behaved and motivated. We have excellent support from parents and the community, and a talented and positive staff team. We are ambitious for every student and provide high-quality pastoral care and support, as well as outstanding enrichment opportunities for our students and the local community. We are committed to excellent professional development for all. Continued school improvement is supported by membership of the White Hills Park Trust.

Our vision and values are based strongly around our school motto Work Hard. Be Well. Do Well. and as Ofsted noted during our most recent inspection, "Only the best is good enough".

The White Hills Park Trust comprises five successful schools across Nottinghamshire, three primary and two secondary schools (one of which includes a sixth form). We are shortly to be joined by a special school, and we expect that we will continue to grow.

We are a partnership of schools, united by shared ethos and values, working in deep collaboration to give all of our children the best possible start in life. Our mission is to provide the very best opportunities and outcomes for young people, and our staff work closely together to deliver high quality teaching and learning, share good practice, pool resources and participate in joint projects for the benefit of pupils.

Our schools retain their independence, each with their own leadership, management and distinct character. However, we have a shared ethos and common values and we believe that we are stronger together. The role of the Trust is to empower our schools and support them by unlocking the benefits of working together:

  • Making the most of our resources
  • Running our schools with maximum efficiency
  • Bringing about continual school improvement
  • Developing and supporting our workforce
  • Providing opportunities for pupils
  • Becoming a force for good in our community
  • Establishing effective governance and leadership

If you would like to discuss the role, please contact Alison Pascual, Curriculum Lead - Science, alison.pascual@whptrust.org, or on 0115 9168900.

Applications for both full time and part time hours will be considered. Please indicate your preference when applying and for an April or September start.

Applications for the post must be submitted by 10.00 am on Friday 3rd February 2023 via our online application form, which can be found at https://whptrust.org/vacancies or by clicking the ‘apply now’ link.

Interviews Tuesday 7th February 2023

The White Hills Park Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our students and all posts are subject to enhanced DBS with children’s barred list checks. In line with safer recruitment policies, references will be called prior to interview.

The White Hills Park Trust welcomes applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, age or sexual orientation for posts within Educational Settings.

The White Hills Park Trust is a Pathfinder for the Framework for Ethical Leadership in Education and expects all leaders in the Trust to embody these values in their daily work. The Trust is an equal opportunities employer, committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance and checks will be made with past employers.
