This outstanding Academy is inviting applications from ambitious, well qualified and highly motivated candidates who are passionate, enthusiastic and eager to teach Physics and/or Chemistry across the full ability and age range in a very successful Science Department. Newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are welcome to apply.
Hodgson Academy has been designated as one of the first wave of National Teaching Schools. This post will add capacity in Science to help deliver our commitment to further raising attainment at Hodgson and beyond.
Results in 2017 included 84% 5+ A* - C, 82% including English & Maths
Core Science A*- C 75.3%, Additional Science A*- C 73.7%
Triple Science A*- C Biology 97%, Chemistry 100% and Physics 100%
ICT within and across the curriculum is a major focus and all teaching staff are issued with a personal laptop on appointment.
