The Academy
Nunthorpe is a very popular outstanding co-educational 11 – 19 comprehensive converter Academy with approximately 1550 students on roll.
We became the ‘Lead Teaching School’ of the North East Schools teaching alliance (NESTA) in September 2014
The Faculty
We are a large, experienced Science faculty with 11 teachers and 4 support staff. A Director leads each of the separate subjects - Chemistry, Physics and Biology; and the whole Faculty is line managed by a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
The faculty teaches the AQA Dual Award Science and the Separate Sciences to GCSE.

The Candidate
We require an energetic, inspirational and talented teacher with a genuine intellect and passion for Science education to teach across KS3 and KS4 with the possibility of KS5.
The successful candidate will have the ability and potential to consistently deliver outstanding lessons; and be ambitious for the achievement of every student in their care.

Nunthorpe Academy is part of Nunthorpe Multi Academy Trust (NMAT).
Nunthorpe Academy is a mainstream, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school for children aged 11-18. It is situated in Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough, and has over 1600 students. The Academy was rated “Good” in its most recent Ofsted inspection (2019) whilst the sixth form provision maintained its 'Outstanding' status.
