The Science department is a large, supportive Dept. It is extremely well resourced and is over 2 floors and has high quality facilities and resources and is supported effectively by 2 highly competent Science Technicians.

A new dynamic and forward thinking Head of Science took up post in September 2017. There is wealth of experience and expertise within this large department.

We are seeking to appoint someone with a real passion for their subject. It needs to be someone who has high expectations of themselves as well as others. We want someone who will “go that extra mile”.

The successful candidate will have a high quality structured induction programme in order to support their professional development needs. There will be ample opportunities for professional development.

This post is suitable for a newly qualified teacher or an experienced Science Teacher who has a desire for a new challenge within a new school environment.

The starting date is September 2018 or sooner.

There is a recruitment and retention allowance for an exceptional candidate who brings with them expertise and experience. (£2,000)

Kingsway Park High School was established in 2010 and joined the Altus Education Partnership in February 2022. We are now a very popular oversubscribed school in central Rochdale with 1350 students in Years 7-11 and 190 staff.
