MPS/UPS plus Outer London Allowance with TLR for an experienced candidate

Required for September 2019

Ruislip High School opened in 2006 due to the demand for secondary school places in the local community.  It is a very popular and oversubscribed, mixed, 11-18 comprehensive school, with over one thousand students on roll which will increase with school expansion in September 2019.  The school is situated in a pleasant residential area in North West London.  In its short history, Ruislip High School  has become a school of choice; it is a school both in, and for, its local community and has been graded outstanding twice by Ofsted in 2007 and 2011 respectively.  In June 2018, Ruislip High School secured another strong set of external examination results.  At GCSE level, 74% of students attained grades 9-4 in both English and mathematics, and 50% grades 9-5 in both subjects.  At A Level, the majority of students attained the grades necessary to gain places at their chosen university.  Over the last three years, students have been offered places on courses at a number of prestigious Russell Group universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to teach Science.

The successful applicant will:

  • be an excellent and ambitious classroom teacher
  • have a good understanding of the current educational developments, especially those relating to classroom based practice
  • have the highest expectations of students
  • have an enthusiastic and positive approach within and beyond the classroom
  • have energy, stamina and a sense of humour
