Pioneer Educational Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and outstanding teaching practitioner to the post of Teacher of Science at Upton Court Grammar School.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of outstanding teaching and offer a variety of extra-curricular activities for our students. The successful candidate must be able to teach at least one Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) to A Level and also be able to teach Physics to GCSE Level.
An Academy Allowance may be available for a suitable candidate.
The Trustees are seeking candidates with who passionate about teaching, incorporating a variety of resources, including technology, in lessons and about promoting independent learning within and outside the classroom.
The most recent OFSTED inspection graded the school as “Outstanding” in all areas. The school has a national reputation for excellence and achievement and was ranked 9th in the country for student progress in 2017, having attained a Progress 8 score of +1.21.
As part of the School Direct Teacher Training programme, Upton Court Grammar School is also the lead school for the Teach Slough. Working alongside Reading University and the Institute of Education, teacher training is offered in the Slough area. As a Teaching School since September 2013 we provide a first class CPD programme which supports the professional development of teachers at all stages in their careers including teachers new to the profession and leadership development.
