Job overview

We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspiring Science Teacher to work with our supportive and successful team. Applications are invited from teachers of all Science disciplines, with applications from NQTs or more experienced teachers welcome. We would welcome applications on a full time or part time basis.


There is the opportunity for the successful candidate to teach across all Key Stages, depending on experience and expertise. The successful candidate will bring an open and exciting approach to their teaching and show zeal, organisation and camaraderie in their attitude to their work.  The Science Faculty work closely together, sharing resources and innovative ideas with lots of collaborative planning undertaken. We wish to appoint a dedicated and energetic teacher who is prepared to bring their own ideas to complement the teaching of the whole Faculty.


Science results in 2018 were excellent again across KS4 and KS5; GCSE results judged to be in the group of highest achieving schools nationally.


Bungay High School Academy is a thriving and successful school situated in a pleasant rural area. We are 20 miles from Norwich and 15 miles from the delightful heritage coast. Bungay High School is a co-educational secondary school with academy status in Bungay, Suffolk. It caters for children aged 11-18.

The school, originally Bungay Grammar School, became Bungay High School in 1974. A range of academic and vocational and academic qualifications are offered in its sixth form.
