We are looking to appoint a permanent excellent Teacher of Science. Our workload charter sets the tone for what we stand for as a Trust and sets out our commitment in relation to staff workload and wellbeing. St Anthony’s is part of Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust which is one of four Trusts in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. The Trust includes five Secondary and twenty-five Primary Schools across South Tyneside, Sunderland and East Durham.

St Anthony's Girls' Catholic Academy is an academy school based in Sunderland for girls aged 11-18. It is a Roman Catholic school.

The school was established in 1904 and moved to its current site in Thornhill Terrace in 1939. Its sixth form was opened in 1921. In 1999 the school achieved technology college status and in 2009 added languages to its specialisms. The school achieved academy status in 2012 and is a member of the SSAT (Specialist Schools and Academies Trust) Leading Edge Partnership. There are also three school chaplains who are available at the school every day.
