Teacher of Science– MPS, Full Time, Permanent Contract
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to join a successful and forward thinking convertor academy. Required from September 2020, (earlier if possible) we wish to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated Teacher of Science with the ability to teach at both Key Stages 3 and 4.
Longdendale High School is a successful and popular comprehensive 11-16 academy set at the edge of the Peak District on the border of Tameside and Derbyshire. We have a current intake of 885 learners with cohorts typically above the national average in terms of prior attainment. Our Ofsted inspection in November 2015 recognised the excellent provision and opportunities our learners are offered in all areas of the curriculum, and the school was judged to be ‘Good with Outstanding features’. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to our Science team to support the development of the curriculum and teaching experience in lessons to ensure that all learners achieve and progress in line with expectations. As Teacher of Science, the successful candidate will work to provide outstanding learning opportunities and instil a love of learning.
