Job overview
We are currently seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Science (Secondary) to teach Grades 6-10. Currently, in Grades 6 – 12, there are over 500 pupils in total. The secondary phase of the school offers the American curriculum and some A level subjects.
The successful candidate will be expected to plan and deliver high quality science lessons, to both girls and boys classes. The post holder will report to Mrs. Tracy May, the school’s Head of Science Faculty.
The post-holder will be required to exercise their professional skills and judgement to carry out the professional duties in a collaborative manner set out in the job description.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate recent and relevant experience of:
- Proven exemplary classroom practice in a secondary school.
- Monitoring and evaluation of learning and teaching, leading to effective planning to raise standards.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Effective involvement with parents.
- Relevant qualifications in secondary teaching.
