Teacher of Science
Enhanced United Learning Salary Scale (£25,114 - £40,416)
Full time from September 2019
Suitable for Newly Qualified or Experienced Teachers
The Regis School is a large 11-18 United Learning academy with an expected roll of 1550 students in September 2019 including a Sixth Form of approximately 200.
We are seeking an innovative, passionate and inspirational science teacher to join us to teach Science, from Year 7 to Year 13. Adam, our Head of Faculty, is happy to offer any support and training should you need or want it. The one thing you will definitely need is a love of Science and know how to motivate our young people to feel the same. You will ideally have a Chemistry background but teachers of all science specialisms are encouraged to apply, as your passion for helping young people succeed is more important.
We will give you a curriculum framework, a modern classroom with excellent facilities, comprehensive CPD opportunities, your timetable of classes and above all, the freedom to teach with creativity to motivate our students to work hard and achieve their potential.
The Regis School has excellent facilities on a large campus that includes a Sports Arena, nursery, primary school, Adult Learning Centre and Youth Centre. The school itself is large and modern being only 7 years old and offers a fantastic learning environment that is well respected. We are proud to be a ‘Gold’ Rights Respecting School recognising our commitment to upholding the rights of the child (UNCRC), a well-respected Sports College, an inclusive school gaining the Equalities Award, and an Artsmark Gold school. All staff and students know that we aspire to be a top performing school and we are making rapid progress in order to achieve this aim within the next 3-5 years.
We are happy to receive applications from every level of the teaching community. You might be looking for your first teaching post; that’s great as we will support you and offer you structured training to make it the right start to your career. You might be looking to move schools or areas; that’s great too. We recognise we can all learn from each other and we love new ideas! You might be looking to return to teaching after a break; brilliant! We can offer you a great place to find your feet again and rediscover your love of teaching.
We offer payscales above the national standard with rapid progression for those who get consistent outstanding student outcomes, reduced gym membership to our on-site gym, reduced fees for the on-site nursery, a laptop and a tablet device.
There couldn’t be a more exciting time to join us! You will become a part of a close knit and determined team, built on the ethos of trust and collaboration. As a member of The Regis School and United Learning you will receive excellent Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as well as a variety of rewards on the campus and wider.
There is an open invitation for you to come and see us because we appreciate that, in teaching, moving to a new school is a significant decision. We are convinced our young people will sell this opportunity better than anything you can read on a website, so we encourage you to come and meet us all. Our recruiter, Richard, is happy to arrange this for you. Richard.firstname.lastname@example.org / 01273 729465.
For further information, an application pack or an informal discussion regarding the post, please contact Richard Lanning via email@example.com or call 01273 729465.
Completed applications should be returned by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
